February Bookstack

 Bookstacks seem to be a popular thing over on Instagram and for good reason - they’re so much fun and so pretty! Often they’re passed along as a challenge or done to raise money for a good cause. This one I did just because. I love “playing” with my books and I LOVE pink! 


Pink is my favorite color and it goes so nicely with red so I did a pink & red bookstack for this month that is traditionally always filled with hearts and love. 


I never realized how many pink and red books I had until I started pulling them all down - and there were still a few more.

What color of books do you have a lot of? I seem to have an inordinate number of blue and aqua. I think I’ll save that for another bookstack idea later on. 😉

Custom Funko Pop Tutorial

 I’ve had several requests for tips on how to make a custom Funko Pop so I thought I’d put together a step-by-step tutorial for anyone who’s interested. I’ll be using Simon & Baz as examples but just know they are rather advanced Pop-ery - not all pops are this complicated or difficult. But most of the info below is relevant to any custom pop you may want to make. Even if you're not making Simon & Baz, do read through the entire tutorial as there are relevant tips throughout. Magic & Nature in A Marvellous Light

While reading A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske, I had some thoughts about the connections between their magic and the natural world.                     The magical world Marske’s created is wonderful. It’s like nothing I’ve ever read or seen before; it’s fantastical and creative but also… down to earth at the same time?
